Felipe Muhr is a visual artist and comics researcher. As an artist he has developed a research based on an expanded notion of drawing and its narrative possibilities, including paintings, comics and installations. He also teaches drawing and works as an illustrator for magazines, educational textbooks and public museums. Felipe studied Fine Arts in Santiago, Chile before moving to NYC to obtain a master’s degree in Illustration. In 2020 he finished an Advanced Master’s in Artistic Research at Sint Lucas School of Arts, Antwerp, and in 2022, he graduated from the post-academic HISK program in Ghent.
More recently he curated the show on comics periodicals “Issue Zero: Reading the Van Passen Collection” at KIOSK, Ghent (2023), and since 2024 he is a doctoral student at KU Leuven and UGent, working on the FWO-funded project “Reanimating Morgue Files: A Media Archeology of Reference Collections”.
